‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27 3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 If you were at church on Sunday then you were able to see a video premier of our own church people about the need for Jesus followers to come out together and pray on Saturday, October 2. Our community and our world need to see people desperately trusting in the Lord from our hearts. God’s Word will not return void. We must seek and pray. We will leave the church at 10am on that day and make our way to Dorney Plaza in the center of town in order to pray for our Nation. Would you join us? I had the media contact me on Monday trying to find out what in the world we were doing. Let’s show them by coming together with the masses and calling upon the One who is our only hope. This summer we had a Patriot Rally at our church. I want to share a prayer I prayed to begin the rally that was offered by Rev. Joe Wright in the Kansas State Legislature on January 23, 1996. It was said that most of those in attendance were outraged and some walked out. Without a doubt, it is a blunt and a direct indictment on modern culture. It’s amazing how things were just as bad 25 years ago. God help us! “Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and seek your direction and guidance. We know your Word says, “Woe to those who call evil good,” but that’s exactly what we’ve done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values. We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of your Word and called it moral pluralism. We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism. We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem. We have abused power and called it political savvy. We have coveted our neighbors’ possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our fore-fathers and called it enlightenment. Search us O God and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by you, to govern this great state. Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the name of your son, the living savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.” – Rev. Joe Wright The church needs to rise up. Won’t you join us? Joy in Jesus! Pastor Mike
